Galactic Panther is thrilled to present Brave New World – Uropia Infectium, an electrifying exhibition by Brussels-based artist Silio Durt. The artist’s vibrant silkscreen prints transform the gallery into a kinetic landscape of chaos, energy, and mutation.

Emerging from the heart of UROCHROME, Durt’s Brussels-based creative laboratory, Brave New World presents a striking selection of silkscreen prints born from his ongoing project Uropia Infectium. Each piece begins as an original drawing—then undergoes a metamorphosis through layers of reworking, cutting, and chemical alchemy until it becomes something entirely new: a print pulsing with cryptogenic themes and saturated color.

Through his process—equal parts destruction and rebirth—Durt channels the industrial energy of screen printing into a form of visual combustion. His words describe it best:

“Screen printing is a hyperactive physical activity that sculpts the forearms and destroys the lower backs of its practitioners, sacrificed in the frenzied disorder of multiple reproduction in the blind service of pure energy.”

Within the mythical ecosystem of UROCHROME—a “factory/art space/print lab” nestled in the center of Brussels—Durt and his collaborators produce what they call “urgent images.” This aesthetic of urgency and punk-inspired experimentation flows vividly through Brave New World, offering American audiences a rare glimpse into a distinctly European underground art movement that blurs the line between printmaking and provocation.

The exhibit also celebrates the spirit of UROCHROME’s creative community: a fermenting blend of artists, printers, and performers who transform pigment and pressure into spectacle and critique.
